CBS Orders Justin Adler Family Comedy Pilot ‘Life in Pieces’

Pilot will explore a clan through the separate stories of its members

CBS is going to “Pieces” with its latest comedy pilot order.

The network has ordered the single-camera comedy pilot “Life in Pieces” from Justin Adler (“Better Off Ted,” “Samantha Who?”).

The pilot, which Adler (pictured) is writing and executive producing, examines one family through the separate stories of its members.

Aaron Kaplan is also executive producing the pilot, which is being produced by Kapital Entertainment in association with 20th Century Fox Television.

On Wednesday, CBS ordered an untitled comedy pilot from standup comedian Tommy Johnagin. That project, which is inspired by Johnagin’s life, revolves around the standup comic raising a family in the small Midwestern town where he grew up. Johnagin is writing that project with ““$#*! My Dad Says” duo Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker.
