CBS Strikes Deal to Air Hollywood Film Awards

Multi-year deal starts in 2014

CBS and dick clark productions have entered a multiyear deal to broadcast the Hollywood Film Awards, starting in 2014.

The Hollywood Film Awards, which was founded by Carlos de Abreu, honors excellence in filmmaking and launched in 1997.

“We look forward to building on our relationship with CBS with an awards show that recognizes the best in movie making, where talent are selected as honorees and not nominees,” dick clark productions president Mike Mahan said. “The show is full of unique moments, with presenters carefully selected to present awards to the year’s honorees, creating a night with an array of emotion, comedy and surprises.”

The Hollywood Film Awards broadcast deal furthers the relationship between dick clark productions and CBS, which has broadcast the Academy of Country Music Awards for the past 15 seasons.
