Chris Hardwick to Host Streamy Awards

Chris Hardwick is the actor and comedian behind "The Nerdist" and "Talking Dead"

Chris Hardwick will host the third annual Streamy Awards, which honors the best in web video.

Getty ImagesThe actor and comedian is best known from his days co-hosting the MTV program "Singled Out" and is familiar to "Walking Dead" devotees from his work hosting the AMC show "Talking Dead," which discusses the latest zombie developments.

His show "The Nerdist," which dissects "nerd culture," spans various media platforms to exist in podcast, web and BBC TV form. He is also a contributing writer for Wired.

Streamy  Awards Executive Producer Barry Adelman and Producer Assaf Blecher praised Hardwick's comedic and explained his selection in a joint statement, saying,“Being such an influential force in pop culture and a powerful online presence, he truly resonates with our audience."

The Streamy Awards will be produced by Dick Clark Productions and sponsored by Coca-Cola. They will be presented and streamed live on Feb. 17 from the Hollywood Palladium.
