Christina Aguilera was arrested and detained in Los Angeles early on Tuesday morning on DUI related charges, a spokesperson for the L.A. County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to TheWrap.
Radar Online first reported Aguilera’s arrest.
The “Burlesque” star will not be charged and was not driving the car.
Her friend Matt Rutler was behind the wheel when the pair were arrested in West Hollywood. Both were described as “severely intoxicated.”
He is being held on $30,000 bail.
Aguilera posted $250 bail and was being held in protective custody.
Rutler was a production assistant on the set of Aguilera’s recent movie “Burlesque,” but the two are now dating, according to Radar.
