J.J. Abrams surprised moviegoers on Thursday night with the release of the trailer for a top secret sequel to 2008’s “Cloverfield.”

The film, described by Abrams as a “blood relative” to the original film, stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman and John Gallagher, Jr. Winstead plays a woman who awakens after a car accident in an underground bunker, being told that the world has been destroyed in a chemical attack.

Fans of the original are extremely excited, especially with the news that the movie will be released in March. And in this day and age, it’s hard to believe those details were kept hidden for so long.

Here is a sampling of the excitement Paramount and Abrams should be very happy about.
