Lisa Ling is coming to CNN with a new investigative documentary series which that sounds a lot like her old one that ended its run on OWN earlier this year.
“This Is Life with Lisa Ling” follows the journalist and former “View” co-host traveling across the country to introduce viewers to sub-cultures and communities that are unusual, extraordinary and sometimes dangerous.

Ling’s former series, “Our America,” gave viewers an intimate perspective of Americans facing various challenges and issues, including the Los Angeles foster care system, ADHD, and the hazards of being a criminal informant.
“This Is Life,” which Ling executive produces with Amy Bucher and David Shadrack Smith of Part2 Pictures, will premiere its first season of eight hour-long episodes on Sept. 28.
