CNN Reporter Attacked by Lizard on Live Television (Video)

“Abby what is attacking you?’ asked CNN anchor Chris Cuomo during the broadcast

CNN White House Correspondent Abby Phillip came in for a bit of a surprise Friday morning after a lizard interrupted a CNN segment she was on during a live broadcast.

Phillip, who was reporting from Florida, looked at her leg and squeaked as she shook the lizard from her.

“Abby what is attacking you?’ asked CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, laughing and cutting off political analyst David Gregory mid-sentence  “Abby what was that?”

“Is there a mouse?” asked “New Day” host Alisyn Camerota.

“It was a lizard climbing on me,” Phillip clarified. “Sorry that just happened on live television. That was a giant lizard. I don’t think it’s OK, but I’m fine. At least it wasn’t an alligator.”

“A Komodo dragon,” Cuomo joked. “Abby, did you just stomp out a lizard on live television?”

“Literally my nightmare just happened on live tv, nbd,”  Phillip tweeted after it was over, making light of the video as it made the rounds on Twitter. Another eyewitness, CNN’s Betsy Klein, told her followers that the lizard was not in fact stomped and that it had “slithered off unscathed.”
