ContentFilm Buys Rights to Film from ‘Last King of Scotland’ Team

Movie will center on slave trade in London

ContentFilm International has acquired worldwide rights to the next film by the writer and producers of "The Last King of Scotland," the studio announced on Thursday.

The as yet untitled project will be directed by Gabriel Range ("Death of a President") and reunites Jeremy Brock and Andrea Calderwood, (writer and producer of "The Last King of Scotland").

The project is a thriller about the underground slave trade in London. Currently in production in Kenya, the movie is scheduled for completion in May 2010.

“This is an extraordinary and poignant story and in the hands of a world class, award winning production team this stunning film will have universal appeal,” Executive Producer Katherine Butler said in a statement.

The mostly unknown cast includes Wunmi Mosaku, Isaach De Bankolé, and Lubna Azabal.
