“Anchorman” star David Koechner is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of “Sofia the First” on the Disney Channel, voicing the leader of an invading group of gargoyles, TheWrap exclusively learned Wednesday.
The episode, titled “Minding the Manor,” sees Sofia unknowingly bring a group of invading gargoyles to life while minding her Aunt Tilly’s manor. Bonnie Hunt also guest stars in the episode in her recurring character of Sofia’s Aunt Tilly.
Koechner will appear in the Halloween-themed episode, set to air Friday, Oct. 2.
The animated series stars “Modern Family’s” Ariel Winter, “Grey’s Anatomy’s” Sara Ramirez, “Whose Line Is It Anyway’s” Wayne Brady and “Project Runway’s” Tim Gunn. Craig Gerber executive produces the series with Jamie Mitchell.
