TheWrap News Inc. on Tuesday announced the acquisition of web-based subscription service

The purchase of the comprehensive movie-business data service further solidifies TheWrap's position as a leading multi-platform media company serving the entertainment industry.

Founded by literary manager Jason Scoggins, (pictured below) aggregates information from entertainment industry insiders, combining it with real-time data from a variety of published sources.

ItsontheGrid is the only publicly-available source of actionable film-development information, including studio writing and directing assignments and spec-script information.
