DGA Names Daniel Bush Assistant Executive Director

Contract enforcement and organizing will be the focus for Daniel Bush, new assistant executive director for the Directors Guild of America

The Directors Guild of America announced Wednesday that it has named labor attorney Daniel Bush as assistant executive director.

Contract enforcement and organizing will be Bush's primary focus in the new position, in which he’ll report to Bryan Unger, associate national executive director and Western executive director.

"Danny's labor relations experience and his knowledge of contracts and organizing will be in high demand as the DGA expands its coverage of these areas and prepares for major contract negotiations next year," said DGA national executive director Jay Roth.

Bush has worked for Glendale, Calif.-based law firm Bush Gottlieb Singer Lopez Kohanski Adelstein and Dickinson for the past four years. He has served as lead negotiator for the Service Employees International Union and the Mineworkers ILWU Local 30, and as an organizer for SEIU.

Bush is already working in his new job.
