The DGA Award for outstanding directorial achievement in feature film has often been an accurate barometer for who will win the Academy Award. Since the DGA Award’s inception in 1949, the DGA winner has won the corresponding Academy Award 58 out of 64 times.

Michael Hazanavicius took both honors for “The Artist” earlier this year.

For the first time, voting by DGA members will be all online. Details on the voting and eligibility can be found at www.dga.org.
