Dish Sues DirecTV Alleging False Advertising

DirecTV last month sued Dish for same reason

Dish Network Corp., the second-largest satellite TV provider, sued DirecTV Inc., claiming that advertising about the price and quality of high-definition television service to consumers by its biggest rival is false.

The complaint, filed Monday in federal court in Manhattan, is a countersuit to DirecTV’s February lawsuit claiming that Dish engaged in false advertising when it said Dish subscribers would pay less for the same service DirecTV provides.

In Monday’s filing, Dish denied all of DirecTV’s claims and asked for a jury trial.
