Disney, Time Warner Cable Near Agreement

mMedia companies make “significant progress” amid Marathon negotiations over programming fees

Disney and Time Warner Cable Inc. are nearing a new deal to pipe TV channels like ABC and ESPN into millions of U.S. homes. They expect to reach an agreement in time to avert a threatened blackout, says the Wall Street Journal.

The two companies said Sunday that they have made "significant progress" to resolve their impasse over programming fees.
