BBC America’s ‘Doctor Who’ 50th Anniversary Live Pre-Show to Simulcast on YouTube

BBC America is simulcasting its “Doctor Who” live pre-show for the first time on YouTube ahead of the 50th Anniversary special, “The Day of the Doctor.”

The pre-show airing Saturday, Nov. 23 at 2:30 p.m. ET on BBC America will simulcast on the network’s YouTube channel for global viewers and shoot at the YouTube Space Los Angeles, the video site’s L.A. production facility in Playa Vista.

Hosted by “The Sword and Laser” YouTube show co-host Veronica Belmont and in association with Nerdist Industries, the pre-show will feature fan-created content that was shared on social media from celebrations around the globe, plus interviews with special guests, including YouTube star Phil DeFranco.

Nerdist Colonies’ Chris Hardwick and Seth Laderman will executive produce.

Additionally, BBC America will host a post-show on YouTube at 4 p.m. ET. And later at 7:00 p.m. ET, it will host another pre-show at 7 p.m. ET, ahead of the primetime repeat airing at of “The Day of the Doctor.”
