Hey ladies, Scott Baio has some advice for you: Get over yourselves.
“Happy Days” alum and show-biz conservative Baio jumped to Donald Trump’s defense over the weekend, after the GOP presidential nominee was pilloried for lewd comments he made to then-“Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush 11 years ago.
As Baio sees it, Trump is just talking like a guy. But he’s also talking like women tossing back white wine over brunch.
Yes, it’s a little confusing — so let’s allow Baio’s words to speak for themselves.
“First of all, I think 11 years ago Trump was a Democrat, so doesn’t he deserve a pass?” Baio said to Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro. “I like Trump because Trump is not a politician; he talks like a guy. And ladies out there, this is what guys talk about when you’re not around. So if you’re offended by it, grow up. And by the way, this is what you guys talk about over white wine when you have your brunches, so take it easy with your phony outrage. This is the way the world works. It’s not a big thing.”
Trump came under widespread criticism on Friday after audio was released of Trump discussing women with Bush, tekking the host, “[W]hen you’re a star, they let you do anything.”
“I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything,” Trump said. “Grab ‘em by the p—y.”
In the audio, Trump also admitted that he attempted to seduce a married woman — since identified as “Access Hollywood” alum Nancy O’Dell.
“I moved on her, actually, she was down in Palm Beach and I failed. I’ll admit it. I did try to f— her, she was married … and I moved on her very heavily,” Trump said.
But Baio believes Hillary Clinton’s defense of her husband Bill amid reports of infidelity is the far worse sin.
“If you’re gonna accept that, that she’s defending her husband and going after these ‘bimbos’ as she calls them, then you’re gonna have to accept Trump for being a guy,” Baio asserted.
