Trump Defends Putin, Puts Down USA When Bill O’Reilly Labels Russian ‘A Killer’ (Video)

“I do respect him. I respect a lot of people, that doesn’t mean I’m going to get along with him,” the president tells Fox News

Donald Trump defends his “respect” for Vladimir Putin in a new preview of his interview with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, set to air on Fox ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday.

“Do you respect Putin?” O’Reilly asks Trump in the clip, which released on Twitter on Saturday.

“I do respect him,” Trump responds. “I respect a lot of people, that doesn’t mean I’m going to get along with him.”

Trump says that even though he doesn’t know how he’s going to get along with the Russian president, he doesn’t think that getting along with him would be bad for the country.

“If Russia helps us in the fight against ISIS, which is a major fight — and Islamic terrorism all over the world — that’s a good thing,” he says.

And when O’Reilly’s accuses Putin of being “a killer,” Trump simply shrugs him off.

“We got a lot of killers,” he says. “What, you think our country is so innocent?”
