Hillary Clinton Bashes ‘Dangerous’ Donald Trump: ‘I No Longer Think He’s Funny’ (Video)

“What he’s saying now is not only shameful and wrong, it’s dangerous,” Democratic presidential candidate says

Hillary Clinton shared her thoughts on GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump during an appearance on Thursday’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

“I no longer think he’s funny,” Clinton said. “Now he has gone way over the line. And what he’s saying now is not only shameful and wrong, it’s dangerous.”

Clinton went on to say that Trump’s latest proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States plays right into the hands of terrorist groups like ISIS.

“He is giving them a great propaganda tool, a way to recruit more folks from Europe and the United States,” she said. “And I think everybody, especially the Republicans, need to stand up and really say, ‘Enough. You’ve gone too far. That’s not who we are. That’s not the kind of country that we believe we are.’”

Trump earned widespread scorn on Monday when he revealed his proposal for a “total and complete shutdown” of Muslims entering the United States.

He wrote in a statement, “According to Pew Research, among others, there is great hatred towards Americans by large segments of the Muslim population.”

He also cited a poll from the Center for Security Policy, a conservative think tank, which stated, “25% of those polled agreed that violence against Americans here in the United States is justified as a part of the global jihad.”

The statement comes on the heels of a mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, in which a Muslim man and his wife killed 14 people and injured 21 others in what is being described by authorities as an “act of terrorism.”
