Donald Trump says Hillary Clinton is telling tall tales when it comes to her claim that ISIS is using videos of his anti-Muslim rhetoric to recruit new members.

“Knowing the Clintons and knowing Hillary, she made it up,” Trump said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.”

The Republican presidential frontrunner was responding to Clinton’s statement during Saturday’s Democratic debate, in which she said the terrorist group is using Trump to increase its ranks.

“He is becoming ISIS’ best recruiter,” Democratic frontrunner Clinton said. “They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.”

Clinton was referring to Trump’s proposal earlier this month in which he called for “a total and complete shutdown” of Muslims entering the United States following the terrorist attack in San Bernardino, California, which left 14 people dead.

Trump has repeatedly stood by his proposal and says Clinton’s claim that ISIS is using footage of his comments to recruit new members is false.

“There’s no such video, they may make one up, knowing the Clintons and knowing Hillary,” Trump told “This Week” moderator George Stephanopoulos during a lengthy telephone interview.

Trump also disputed Clinton’s claims on Twitter, writing: “Hillary Clinton lied when she said that ‘ISIS is using video of Donald Trump as a recruiting tool.’”
