Ed Sheeran is coming to “The Late Late Show” segment “Carpool Karaoke” — and he hopes to bring some “Big Booty Hoes” along with him.
Sheeran plans sometime this year to film a segment of “Carpool Karaoke” — a favorite segment of the CBS late-night show that has featured the likes of Madonna, Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers and numerous others. And he has a randy idea of what tune he’d like to belt out with Corden.
“I’ve been in touch with James Corden about this for three years, because he wanted me to do the first one, and I just wasn’t around,” Sheeran told Capital FM’s Roman Kemp on Monday. “I can confirm that at some point this year I will be doing [a ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment].”
The “Shape of You” singer signaled his desire to perform something from the Biggie Smalls catalog.
“I know the whole thing is singing to your own tune, but I think I’d feel a bit awkward singing to my song,” Sheeran offered. “I think I just want to put on some Biggie … I want to put on something really awkward and dirty, like Biggie’s song ‘Big Booty Hoes’ or something like that, and just see James Corden sing along to that.”
