It might not just be the stuff of boyhood dreams.

The British beauty has signed on for NBC's upcoming revamp of "Wonder Woman," in what could possibly develop into a recurring role.

Hurley will appear in the pilot as pharmaceuticals mogul Veronica Gale, who harbors a serious jealousy toward the magic lasso-brandishing superheroine.

The actress tweeted on Wednesday about taking on the role, writing, "Thrilled to be doing the NBC pilot Wonder Woman. I'll be playing the evil villain. Can't wait."

As reported earlier, "Friday Night Lights" actress Adrianne Palicki has been enlisted for the title role, which was most famously portrayed by Lynda Carter on "The New Adventures of Woman," which ran from 1975 to 1979.
