With all the shakeups this year in the world of talent reps, WhoRepresents.com decided to create its first list of the top 25 Hollywood representatives for 2009. William Morris Endeavor co-CEO Ari Emanuel tops that list.
WhoRepresents.com is part of a group of subscription websites that provide contact information for artists and athletes via their professional representatives.
WhoRepresents compiled its list based on talent reps’ deals negotiated on behalf of their clients over the past 12 months. "Whether negotiating a multi-picture contract, or working to bolster an entire company in a down market, the measures taken by the representatives on this list have been bold, inventive and profitable," the site said in a statement.
With William Morris merging this summer with Endeavor to form William Morris Endeavor, the Hollywood map was redrawn. WhoRepresents’ list was compiled before the PMK-HBH-BNC merger, but that likely will factor into next year’s list.
Rounding out the top five were CAA president Richard Lovett in the No. 2 slot; WME co-CEO Patrick Whitesell at No. 3; United Talent Agency’s Tracey Jacobs, who reps Johnny Depp, in the fourth slot; and in fifth place, CAA’s Kevin Huvane.
