‘Empire’ Season 6: Cookie Demands to Know How Damon Cross Could Do Her ‘So Dirty’ (Exclusive Video)

She is a “queen” — and “queens can never be anybody’s pawn”

Damon Cross has some explaining to do.

In a sneak peek from Tuesday’s episode of the sixth and final season of “Empire,” exclusive to TheWrap, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) is in Damon’s (Wood Harris) luxurious apartment, demanding he tell her how he could betray her by telling the Feds about Lucious (Terrence Howard) — or, as she puts it, “do me so dirty.”

Although Damon first tries to distract Cookie by bringing up her recent guest spots on a daytime talkshow, saying he understands she had to use that gig “to forget about us,” Cookie isn’t having it.

“You think I want you? Are you out your rabbit ass mind?” she asks him, making it clear that is *not* why she came to visit.

“OK, so I tip you off about the damn Feds and to save your own ass, you sick that thirsty bitch Conway on Lucious instead,” Cookie says.

While Damon calls that move he made on the Season 5 finale “survival,” Cookie says it’s “betrayal,” especially because of the moments they’ve shared opening up about his daughter’s cancer and Andre’s (Trai Byers) heart condition.

“We been through a lot, and I’m trying to understand why you would do me so dirty,” the Lyon family matriarch says.

Cookie then gets a text from Lucious, with Damon asking if her estranged husband is trying tell her how to “play” Damon.

“I don’t need instructions from him, or from you,” she says. “You see, I’m a queen. And queens can never be anybody’s pawn.”

“Empire” airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Fox.
