Eric Kohler, the missing Hollywood VFX producer, has been found alive in Mexico, the LAPD confirmed on Friday.

Kohler, 27, was spotted in Mexico by Carlos Ivan Baez Navarro, a resident of La Paz, Mexico, who recognized Kohler from a news article. He snapped a picture of Kohler, who reportedly said, “I do not want to be found,” according to the Huffington Post.

No further details about Kohler or the reason for his disappearance were immediately available.

Kohler’s family reported him missing after he seemed to disappear on Nov. 24, just before Thanksgiving. He was spotted on surveillance footage in a Food 4 Less parking lot in Gardena, but then dropped out of sight and turned off his cellphone.

His mother called her son’s disappearance “a living nightmare” during an appearance on ABC News on Dec. 2.

Kohler has produced visual effects for “The Avengers,” “San Andreas” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and many other movies, according to his IMDb page.

Kohler is originally from Oakley, California, and relocated from Northern California to Los Angeles after high school. The ambitious young man worked his way up from answering phones to becoming a visual effects producer at Vitality Visual Effects Inc.
