The top executives and creative team behind the best-selling video game of 2009 unexpectedly left their jobs in a surprise shake-up.
Jason West and Vince Zampella, the president and chief executive, respectively, of Encino-based Infinity Ward, the game development studio behind "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare," have both exited the company. Updates to their LinkedIn pages said that they were no longer employed by Infinity Ward, which is owned by Santa Monica-based publisher Activision Blizzard Inc.
