‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ to Make International Premiere at Berlin Film Festival

“Fifty Shades of Grey” will premiere internationally at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival, the fest announced Monday.

The Jamie Dornan-Dakota Johnson film will run overseas on Feb. 11. The two stars, director Sam Taylor-Johnson and book series author E.L. James will all be in attendance at the solo Berlinale screening.

“Fifty Shades” was produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti, along with James. Kelly Marcel penned the film adaptation.

The  book, upon which the film is based, has been translated into 51 languages.

In related Hollywood movie news, last month, “Noah” director Darren Aronofsky was named Jury President for the 65th Berlinale.

Dieter Kosslick is the director of the Berlin International Film Festival. His tenure was recently extended through 2019.
