FilmLA Moving its Office From Downtown to Hollywood

Shift will give agency room to expand and put it closer to hot spots for location shoots

FilmLA, the non-profit agency that oversees location shoots for the City and County of Los Angeles, is moving to Hollywood.

The organization said Thursday that it would be taking over a floor at the Sunset Media Tower, 6255 W. Sunset Blvd.  It has been a tenant at the Los Angeles Center Studios in downtown Los Angeles for the past eight years.

The site shift will give it room to expand and put it closer to some of the area’s most popular location shooting sites, the organization said in a release.

The move will take place over the Labor Day holiday and not affect operations, FilmLA said.
