Fox’s ‘Lucifer’ Is ‘Hotter Than Hell’ in New Teaser (Video)

Comic book adaptation premieres in 2016

Lucifer retires from Hell and moves to Los Angeles in a new teaser for Fox’s upcoming television series.

In addition to the teaser, which will debut during Satuday’s World Series game, Fox has also released a special Halloween first look, giving a more extended peek at the character’s “spooky” powers.

Based on a comic book from DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint, the series stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar. Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals.

Lauren German, Rachael Harris, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Nicholas Gonzalez and Scarlett Estevez as Trixie also star.

The one-hour drama comes from executive producer and writer Tom Kapinos, and is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Kapinos’ Aggressive Mediocrity in association with Warner Bros. Television. Alongside Kapinos, Wiseman and Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman also serves as executive producer. KristieAnne Reed co-executive produces.

“Lucifer” will premiere in 2016 on Fox.
