Antoine Fuqua will direct "Prisoners," a thriller about a carpenter who takes the law into his own hands after his daughter and best friend are kidnapped.
Warner Bros.-based Alcon Entertainment’s Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson are producing. The film, which is casting a lead actor, was written by newcomer Aaron Guzikowski.
Fuqua most recently directed “Brooklyn’s Finest,” starring Richard Gere, Don Cheadle and Ethan Hawke, which opens November 27. Fuqua is best known for "Training Day." His highest-profile recent release was “Shooter,” starring Mark Wahlberg.
Also producing are 8:38’s Kira Davis and Madhouse Entertainment’s Adam Kolbrenner. Robyn Meisinger will executive produce.
