The series, which debuted June 14, had eight more completed episodes that have yet to be aired.

The show will remain suspended pending further discussions, G4 confirmed to TheWrap.

In a statement furnished to TheWrap, G4 noted, "All of us at G4 are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic news that Ryan Dunn has passed away.  Ryan’s comedic wit and signature no-holds-barred approach made him an incredible talent and his work as host of G4’s Proving Ground was flawless.  Ryan will be missed dearly by his legion of fans and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time."

Dunn's "Jackass" castmate Steve-O has also weighed in on his passing on Monday, writing on his Twitter account, "I don't know what to say, except I love Ryan Dunn and I'm really going to miss him."

Dunn died in a fiery car crash in Pennsylvania on Monday morning. He was 34. In the hours before his death, the professional daredevil posted a picture of himself drinking with friends at a Philadelphia-area bar.
