“Game of Thrones” author George RR Martin kept it short but definitely not sweet when it came time to express his thoughts on Donald Trump’s election to the presidency.
“America has spoken,” Martin wrote on his blog in a post titled “President Pussygrabber.” “I really thought we were better than this. Guess not. Trump was the least qualified candidate ever nominated by a major party for the presidency. Come January, he will become the worst president in American history, and a dangerously unstable player on the world stage.”
“And the decimated Democrats, a minority in both House and Senate, do not have the power to hinder him,” he continued. “Over the next four years, our problems are going to get much, much worse. Winter is coming. I told you so.”
Martin is just one of many celebrities who have expressed their utter dismay that Trump beat Hillary Clinton to become the 45th U.S. President.
Oscar winner Aaron Sorkin wrote a letter to his daughter in which he promised her that the people would fight Trump throughout his term.
“America didn’t stop being America last night and we didn’t stop being Americans and here’s the thing about Americans: Our darkest days have always-always-been followed by our finest hours,” he wrote.
