Gary Cole to Work With a Bunch of Stiffs in New Pilot

The “Office Space” white-collar heavy is heading back to the work place

As casually callous manager Bill Lumbergh in the 1999 comedy "Office Space," Gary Cole masterfully deadened the souls of those working beneath him.

Now he's heading back to the workplace-comedy genre but this time most of the people he'll be working with are already dead.

TVGuide.com confirms that Cole, 54, has joined the cast of the Fox comedy pilot "Tagged," playing coroner James Percy, whose son signs on to work with him after graduating from medical school.

The pilot will be written and executive-produced by David Guarascio and Moses Port, who previously worked together on "Just Shoot Me," "Aliens in America" and "The IT Crowd."

Cole has most recently portrayed ballistics expert Kurt McVeigh in a recurring role on the CBS crime drama "The Good Wife." His upcoming film projects include playing attorney Bill Kunstler in "The Chicago 8," about the infamous trial of anti-war protesters following the tumultuous 1968 Chicago Democratic Convention.
