Show retains 99 percent of last year’s audience, according to preliminary numbers

NBC's coverage of the Golden Globes was down slightly from last year but stil won its time slot with an 11.8 rating and 18 share, according to preliminary Nielsen numbers.

The show retained 99 percent of last year's audience, beating ABC's "Desperate Housewives," Fox's "The Simpsons," "Family Guy" and "Bob's Burgers," and CBS's "60 Minutes," "CSI: Miami" and "Undercover Boss." The show aired from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.
