The Hackers Keep Coming; LulzSec Strikes Sony Again

Rogue group claims it stole 54 MB of developer code

LulzSec isn't finished tormenting Sony.

After stealing personal information from 1 million customers from SonyPictures.com last week, the rogue group announced on Monday that it had taken 54 MB of Sony developer code.

A spokesperson for Sony did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

For the giant Japanese consumer electronics and entertainment company, it's another sign that its security breaches are not yet over, though the company has hired forensic analysts to try to get to the heart of the problem.

The company must take some comfort from reports that  a member of the group has been apprehended and taken into custody by the FBI.

In April, Sony revealed that a security breach on its PlayStation network had compromised the security of more than 100 million users. The company also recently was forced to grapple with attacks to its music sites in Japan and Germany.

LulzSec claimed responsibility for the hacks to Sony's BMG website in Japan. The hacker group is perhaps best known for a bogus story that Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls were still alive on PBS's website.
