Hulk Hogan has once again body-slammed Gawker in the legal arena.

The former wrestler, who earlier this year was awarded $140 million in damages from Gawker after the media blog published portions of a sex tape featuring Hogan, had his verdict upheld on Wednesday when a Florida judge denied Gawker’s motion for a new trial.

The judge also refused Gawker’s request to reduce the damages, the Associated Press reports.

Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, sued Gawker, claiming that the site invaded his privacy by publishing the footage. In a high-profile trial, a jury agreed, awarding the wrestler $115 million in compensatory damages and tacking on $25 million in punitive damages.

Hogan filed a second suit against Gawker earlier this month, claiming that the site leaked a sealed transcript from the tape, in which the wrestler can be heard making racist statements. The WWE severed ties with Hogan after the comments were made public.

Gawker denies the allegation.

Wednesday’s news follows reports Tuesday that Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel, whom Gawker attempted to out as gay in 2007, has been funding Hulk Hogan’s legal actions against the blog network.
