Chris Evans is set to star in "Puncture," an indie drama to be directed by brothers Adam and Mark Kassen, reports Variety.

Chris Lopta’s script follows Mike Weiss, a drug-addicted attorney who must confront his own demons as he takes on a healthcare giant.

The cast also includes Vinessa Shaw, Jesse L. Martin (yay!), Michael Biehn, Brett Cullen, Kate Burton, Tess Parker, Marshall Bell and Mark Kassen.

The Kassens are also producing through their company Like Minded Pictures, along with Jordan Foley and Craig Cohen.

Evans, who next appears in WB’s "The Losers," is repped by CAA, which is repping the project for North American distribution.

Having grown up a few miles away from Evans’ hometown of Sudbury, Massachusetts, I’ve followed the actor’s career pretty closely since his breakout role in 2001’s "Not Another Teen Movie." In my opinion, he hasn’t appeared in a single "good" movie yet, though he’s come close with "Sunshine" and "Street Kings." But even in his not-so-good movies that I’ve seen (both "Fantastic Four" and its sequel, plus "London," "Cellular" and "Push"), I’ve always liked him.

Fortunately, it looks like his streak is about to change. Sylvain White’s "The Losers" looks like a lot more fun than Joe Carnahan’s bigger-budget "The A-Team." And this August, Evans will play Lucas Lee in Edgar Wright’s "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," which is generating raves out of test screenings. Coming Soon debuted the movie’s poster earlier today.
