Prime Video is sharing a holiday season treat with “Jack Ryan” fans. The show’s third season will premiere Wednesday, Dec. 21, the streamer announced Wednesday.

Season 3, which stars John Krasinski as the titular Tom Clancy hero, will span eight episodes.

The upcoming episodes will find “Jack Ryan on the run and in a race against time,” per a logline from the streamer. “Jack is wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy and suddenly finds himself a fugitive out in the cold. Now, wanted by both the CIA and an international rogue faction that he has uncovered, Jack is forced underground, crisscrossing Europe, trying to stay alive, while preventing a massive global conflict.”

Returning alongside Krasinski for Season 3 are Wendell Pierce as James Greer and Michael Kelly as Mike November. Newcomers to the show include Nina Hoss as Alena Kovac and Betty Gabriel as Elizabeth Wright. Both actors are in series regular roles.

“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” is a co-production by Amazon Studios, Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television. Andrew Form, Allyson Seeger, Krasinski, Vaun Wilmott, Brad Fuller and Michael Bay are executive producers. Clancy and Skydance Television’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost are also EPs for Season 3, along with Mace Neufeld and Carlton Cuse.

Season 2 of the show premiered back in 2019.
