Right-wing celebrity provocateur James Woods got into the Thanksgiving spirit on Thursday by tweeting what he was thankful for — White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

“One final reason to be thankful today: @SarahHuckabee She is the best thing to happen to modern American journalism,” said Woods. “The #CNN and other liberal minions melt before her intelligence, her wit, and her sheer fortitude like snowflakes in the desert.”

While most of the press corps would probably agree that Sanders is an improvement over her predecessor, Sean Spicer, the fawning from Woods seems more an effort to rattle Twitter’s delicate liberals. He may have gotten the idea from Sanders herself, who forced the White House press corps in their last presser before the holiday to precede their questions by stating what they were thankful for.

Woods, an Oscar-nominated actor, has had something of a second act in the last two years, reinventing himself as one of the most ferocious right-wing trolls on the web.

Only last month, Woods let loose against Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson. Wilson — you may recall — led the crusade to suggest that President Trump had disrespected the widow of a U.S. soldier killed in Niger. The actor posted a series of Tweets, and strongly implied that Wilson was a “clown dressed as saloon hooker.”
