It’s an “Alias” reunion.

Apple has given a straight-to-series order for “My Glory Was I Had Such Friends,” a limited series starring Jennifer Garner and executive produced by J.J. Abrams. Based on the 2017 memoir of the same name by Amy Silverstein, the story showcases the power of friendship and the resilience of the human spirit as it follows an extraordinary group of women who supported Silverstein as she waited for a second life-saving heart transplant.

Garner will also executive produce. The one-hour drama is produced by Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television. Karen Croner will pen the script and executive produce, alongside Silverstein and Bad Robot’s Ben Stephenson.

The series reunites Garner, who starred as Sydney Bristow on “Alias,” with Abrams, who created the ABC drama. “Alias” ran for five seasons from 2001 to 2006.

Garner is coming off her starring role in HBO’s “Camping.” She also starred in Croner’s 2017 film, “The Tribes of Palos Verdes.” For Abrams, this marks the second drama the uber-producer has set up with the tech giant. In June, Apple gave a 10-episode series order to “Little Voice,” a half-hour dramedy executive produced by Abrams, Grammy and Tony nominee Sara Bareilles, and “I Am Sam” director Jessie Nelson.
