Jennifer Lopez is heading back to “Will & Grace,” and this time she’ll be performing two different roles, TheWrap has learned.

The singer and actress will appear both as herself and as her “Shades of Blue” character detective, Harlee Santos. No further details about her arc or the air date for her appearance on the newly-revived sitcom have been released.

Lopez first guest starred on “Will & Grace” in two Season 6 episodes, in which she played herself and performed at Karen’s (Megan Mullally) wedding. In that plot-line, Lopez apparently grew up with Karen’s maid, Rosario (Shelley Morrison), in the Bronx. She sang her hit “Waiting for Tonight” at the nuptials and had Jack (Sean Hayes) fill in as one of her backup dancers.

The guest spot expands Lopez’s already extensive working relationship with NBC. In addition to the police drama “Shades of Blue,” she also executive produces and serves as a judge on the dance competition series “World of Dance,” which was renewed for a second season last summer. She is also set to star in the network’s live staging of the musical “Bye Bye Birdie” later this year.

Vanity Fair first reported news of her return.

“Will & Grace” airs Thursdays at 9/8c on NBC.
