Jimmy Kimmel is partnering with Mark Burnett on “Generation Gap,” a new game show coming to ABC, the late-night host said during the broadcast network’s presentation at the Television Critics Association press tour on Monday.

As described by the network, this comedy quiz show groups family members of different generations who must work together to answer questions about each other’s generations. This “fun for the whole family” show features a wide variety of pop-culture trivia and challenges, such as asking an 8-year-old to finish the famous catchphrase, “Go ahead. Make my BLANK!”

“Generation Gap” hails from MGM Television and Kimmel’s Kimmelot and will be executive produced by Burnett, Kimmel and Barry Poznick. Additional details about the series, including its host, will be announced at a later date.

During his TCA panel, Kimmel revealed to reporters that “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” will return to Brooklyn for the fifth time this fall and tape five shows in front of a live studio audience from the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House.

Speaking of live studio audiences, Kimmel also got to announce he and Norman Lear have lined up two more “Live in Front of a Studio Audience” specials at ABC, with the next one set to air this winter and will carry a holiday theme. It will be followed by another special in the spring. No casting information has been released, nor details about which of Lear’s episodes would be featured.
