Jimmy Kimmel Turns Matt Damon’s ‘The Martian’ Into Masturbatory Love Story (Video)

ABC late-night talk show offers up a trailer for “The Mastronaut: Emission to Mars”

It’s good to see that Jimmy Kimmel’s love-hate faux rivalry with Matt Damon is still in full swing.

The ABC late-night host re-cut Damon in “The Martian” trailer Thursday night to turn the space odyssey into”The Mastronaut: Emission to Mars” — a light-hearted romantic space adventure about a lonely astronaut touching himself underneath his space suit.

But first, the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host just made fun of his real-life friend for a bit.

“I don’t mean to bring you down, but some very sad news coming out of Hollywood this week … Matt Damon has a new movie coming out,” Kimmel joked. “I know, it doesn’t make any sense to me either.”

“This will be the second movie where Matt Damon plays a guy who’s stranded in space,” he continued. “You know, when Ben Affleck goes into space, he’s blowing up a meteor to preserve the human race. Matt Damon goes up there, he gets lost and has to be saved.”

Actual film “The Martian,” which likely contains far less self pleasure, rockets into theaters on Oct. 2. Readers can watch the real trailer here.
