John Leguizamo Joins Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart in ‘American Ultra’

John Leguizamo is set to join Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart in the action-comedy “American Ultra,” an individual familiar with the project told TheWrap.

Nima Nourizadeh (“Project X”) is directing from a script by Max Landis (“Chronicle”). Likely Story’s Anthony Bregman will produce with Circle of Confusion’s David Alpert and Britton Rizzio. Production is scheduled to start in April.

Eisenberg stars as a stoner with a past that makes him the target of a government operation to eliminate him, while Stewart will play his girlfriend.

Uma Thurman and Walton Goggins co-star in the film, which will find Leguizamo playing a character named Brad Gage.

Leguizamo, who recently co-starred in “Kick-Ass 2” and “Ride Along,” will soon be seen in Jon Favreau’s “Chef” and the Shakespeare adaptation “Cymbeline.” He’s repped by UTA and Silver Lining Entertainment.
