Jonathan Bing Named SVP of Corporate Communications of 21st Century Fox

He will oversee all communications and media relations for Fox Networks Group

Jonathan Bing has been appointed to Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at 21st Century Fox, the company announced Tuesday.

Bing will oversee all communications and media relations for Fox Networks Group (FNG), while supporting executive, legal, distribution, monetization, human resources and international communications functions in addition to handled 21st Century Fox-related matters.

“Jonathan is an incredibly accomplished communications executive who brings to FNG a keen understanding of our industry through his work representing and advising key stakeholders,” said FNG Chairman and CEO Peter Rice, to whom Bing will be reporting. “We are confident he will be a strategic and energetic voice for our businesses as well as a valuable partner for FNG’s brands and networks.”

Most recently, Bing ran boutique PR firm Bing Communications Group, specializing in global communications and marketing services for a range of entertainment and technology companies. Before that, he launched and ran Freud Communications’ Los Angeles Office from 2006 to 2010, overseeing marketing campaigns for clients like NBC Universal, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Walt Disney Company.

Fox Networks Group is the primary operating unit of 21st Century Fox, consisting of Fox Television Group which includes Fox Broadcasting Company and 20th Century Fox Television, FOX Sports Media Group, Fox International Channels, and Fox Networks Engineering and Operations.
