The social media embargo for Warner Bros.’ “Justice League” has lifted, and the reviews are mixed.

is better than BvS and  – it’s lean, mean & packed w/ superhero action,” Fandango’s Erik Davis tweeted on Friday. “I dug most of its lighter moments & I think it has one of the best action sequences ever in a DCEU movie.”

Kevin McCarthy offered a rave: “Bottom line: JUSTICE LEAGUE is awesome!”

However, the DC Comics superhero mash-up didn’t win over every critic.

“Justice League is better than expected, but not a home run,” Slashfilm’s Peter Sciretta said, while another wrote, “ is the worst film I’ve seen all year.”

Mashable’s Josh Dickey wrote, “Nothing could save JUSTICE LEAGUE from its loud, ugly, tacky self. Not Wonder Woman, not wide-eyed Ezra Miller, not Joss Whedon’s quippy teardown & rebuild. And Henry Cavill’s mustache is an actual issue; they gave him Uncanny Valley Face. Oof, guys. It’s a rough ride.”

All in all, the consensus is that the film is good, but not great, is fun but is flawed, and the villain isn’t a show stealer, but the main characters, namely Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg and The Flash, make up for it.

“Justice League” stars Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa and Ray Fisher.

Zack Snyder directed the film with assistance from Joss Whedon, who stepped in to complete production after the death of Snyder’s daughter, Autumn, last spring.

The movie opens Nov. 17.
