It’s a big day for Kanye West. His new album, “Yhandi,” has just been released, he will perform on the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live.” Oh… and he just changed his name.

“The being formerly known as Kanye West,” as he describes himself in the tweet announcing his new name, will now be referred to by the name of his previous album: “I AM YE.”

So, will host Adam Driver introduce tonight’s “SNL” performer as simply Ye? Don’t be surprised if the pro-Donald Trump rapper also throws in some political statements during his performance. In another tweet hyping the show, West posted a picture of himself on the set of the NBC comedy with Driver and cast member Kenan Thompson, with West wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

West was also wearing a “Free Hoover” shirt, likely in reference to Larry Hoover, a famed Chicago gang founder who is serving six life sentences for charges including murder, extortion, money laundering, and continuing to run his gang’s criminal empire while in prison.
