CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl briefly addressed the long-simmering feud between Pauley Perrette and her former “NCIS” co-star Mark Harmon on Thursday following his executive session during the Television Critics Association press tour.
“I can’t speak to what she’s addressing in her tweets,” Kahl told reporters. “We’re very happy to have her on the air again this year with us. I don’t think she would be back with us if she had huge concerns.”
Perrette, who is making her return to the network at midseason with the new comedy “Broke,” tweeted in June that she would never return to “NCIS,” which she starred on for 15 seasons before leaving in 2018 because she was “terrified” of Harmon. As TheWrap previously reported, Perrette exited the long-running drama amid conflict with Harmon over an on-set incident involving a dog bite.
In a 2018 tweet, Perrette alluded to “multiple physical assaults” on the set of the long-running crime drama.
“She did come to us a couple of years ago with a workplace concern,” Kahl said. “We immediately investigated it and resolved it to everyone’s satisfaction.”
Perrette is co-starring on “Broke,” the multi-camera comedy with “Jane the Virgin” alum Jaime Camil.
Written by Alex Herschlag and executive produced by “Jane” creator Jennie Snyder Urman, “Broke” centers on an outrageously wealthy trust fund baby (Camil) who is cut off by his father and moves in with his wife into her estranged sister Jackie’s (Perrette) Reseda condo, forcing the two siblings to reconnect.
