Lady Gaga and the producers of the "Smash" were among the winners at the 23rd GLAAD Media Awards held in New York Saturday night.
Lady Gaga was named outstanding music artist for her "Born This Way" album.
Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, producers of the NBC drama "Smash," were presented with the Vito Russo Award, given to openly gay media professionals who have made a significant difference in promoting equality for the LGBT community.
Focus Features' "Pariah" took home honors for outstanding film, limited release.
HBO's "Cinema Verite" (left) was named top TV movie or miniseries.

Carson Kressley accepted the award for reality program, for ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."
The "ABC World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer" segment "Battle Against Bullying" won for outstanding TV journalism. "The Sissy Boy Experiments," a segment on CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" was honored as well.
Harvey Weinstein was on hand to present a special recognition award to openly gay 17-year-old Katy Butler, who started a petition to get the Angeles to change is R rating on The Weinstein Company's documentary "Bully" to a PG-13.
More winners will be announced at the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on April 21 and in San Francisco on June 2.
