LAFF, E3 Parties Descend on Downtown

Stars turn out for parties related to Los Angeles Film Festival and E3 in downtown Los Angeles.

Across the street at Staples, Activision continued to win the offline party game during last week’s E3 convention. The Santa Monica-based publisher pushed stars of its upcoming titles, including Eminem and Tony Hawk, front and center at a concert/bash the night before the Lakers returned home for their championship-capping wins.

Brittany Snow Vanessa HudgensThis follows Activision’s E3 mega-event last year promoting “DJ Hero” featuring Jay-Z, Eminem and the late Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein performing together at the Wiltern.

Eminem and Travis Barker were back for the 2010 event, joining Rihanna, Usher and Hawk in performances tied to the publisher’s upcoming releases this year. Gamer fans like Nikki Reed and Seth Green got sneak peeks at the next chapter in the “Guitar Hero” franchise, “Warriors of Rock” and shooter “Call of Duty: Black Ops,” which set Twitter ablaze with an ad during the NBA Finals’ Game 7 on Thursday night.
