“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” has set its guest lineup for its post-Super Bowl 50 timeslot, CBS announced Thursday.
Tina Fey and Margot Robbie from the upcoming film “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” Will Ferrell from “Zoolander 2,” and comedy duo Key & Peele, who star together in “Keanu,” will join Colbert as his guests during the live broadcast from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. The Colbert-hosted “The Late Show” is the first late night series to ever air in the post-Super Bowl slot.
Since Colbert debuted as the host of “The Late Show” in Sept. 2015, its audience has increased by 18 percent over David Letterman‘s last year at the desk, up to 3.2 million viewers per episode. It is also up 60 percent in adults 18-49 for the same time period.
Digitally, “The Late Show” has seen a quadruple-digit percentage increase in full episode streams on CBS.com and CBS apps, and has garnered nearly 38 million social impressions since its premiere, according to Nielsen Social.
Super Bowl 50 will air on Feb. 7 at 6 p.m./5c from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” will immediately follow at 10 p.m./9c and “The Late Late Show with James Corden” will air at 11:35 p.m./10:35c. Note: times are approximate after post-game coverage.
